so I have had my Gladiator since April 27, it has been in the shop 3 times and each time they tell me its a different thing.
First time they said my fuse block had shorted out. the dealership in my area replaced it no problem just took weeks to get the part.
next time showing same problem put yet another fuse block in and found a body ground not hooked up, ("this must be the problem it was cut from the factory" they said) few weeks at the shop and a missed beach vacation with the Jeep.
This time new dealership, Jeep throwing a ton of codes, Misfires, misaligned camshaft, and more. they tell me there is a short in the PCM and it will be a month before we can even find out if a new PCM will fix the problem, due to chip shortage.
First few times they blamed it on a Genesis dual battery system. Now they are blaming it on a superchips. So i take them the original PCM thinking maybe Superchips PCM had the short. Well, couldn't be that easy. they plugged in the original and it shows a blank PCM no Programing. Tried calling Superchips this week with no answer on the phone.
I know this is a lot but had to vent some of it. It is a frustration that to think i did something that so many have done including people i know and now I am having so many problems. The new dealership is doing everything they can to get me back on and off-road. They even went as far fixing the "2nd" problem again saying the original Dealership still didn't fix it correctly still when they took a look for me. So I am thinking the body ground shorted out the PCM before it was truly fixed.
I miss my Jeep and my "independence" of my ride. we have missed 3 trips, 2 off-road and a beach trip all due to the Jeep being in the shop.
