I have have 22k miles my jeep and it leaks fuel everytime I fill iit.I originally thought I was overfilling it, however it appears to leak a little bit every time and only at the pump. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Diesel fuel foams up a lot when filling the JT. If I'm not careful. The foam spill out. Wondering if that is what you're seeing.

I don't see foam only dripping from behind the wheel well under the filler neck. I have not gone underneath to inspect it, yet.

Where exactly is it leaking from? Does your Jeep still have a completely stock filler neck or has the nozzle discriminator been removed? Has it always done this since new or is this a more recent issue, and if the latter, was anything worked on around the time it started?

Any chance something could have been put in there? Any truck curious kids nearby? Otherwise, I suspect a leak at a connection. I have never had an issue with my '23 Rubicon. Hope u find the reason pronto👍

I think it is more recent. No mods have been done on it. I purchased it brand new.

If you tend to click the pump in an attempt to add just a bit more fuel after automatic shut off or get the price to some even number; perhaps that overfills just enough to cause your issue. You indicate you're not overfilling, so I think you're not clicking past the auto shutoff.

I do not think this next point is the problem because your dash would have an indicator lit up but worth mentioning.

When you put the cap back on the neck after filling, are you tigthtening it until the cap clicks once? If tightening the cap no longer clicks per page 162/163 in the 2022 Owners Manual, you need to replace it.

Although if the cap truly does not tighten properly with the click felt, and heard during the quarter turn described, the On Board Diagnostic (OBD) system should detect a fuel pressure drop, and the dash Malfunction Indicator Lamp (sigh, another acronym) would turn on. If have, or have see the MIL indicator lit on your dash, a diagnostic analyzer plugged into the under dash OBD port should narrow down the cause.

Other than that, you may just have a common filler neck/venting system coupling leak. I haven't eyeballed my Gladiator diesel fuel neck. Maybe it's not possible without it being up on a lift. Even then, might be hard to see a coupling that I assume is just aft of the filler port to allow body vs tank neck movement. Anyway, if there is a tell tale trail of fuel seepage down the neck which may only happen during a full tank refueling, that would necessitate a dealer to work that over. Hopefully you still have some basic limited warranty term left this year. Although the cap and neck might fall under emissions system warranty, you'd have to dive into that whether it's 2/24k or 8/80k covered. But from how I read it, the 3/30k basic has you covered if you have any months left.

This might also help if you haven't done this before; Sign into or create a login to sign into the MOPAR Owners site. Add your Gladiator diesel's VIN number into the "Garage" You can then locate and download the warranty terms applicable to your 2022 Gladiator diesel.

Hope something I noted is helpful.

Diesel won't throw a CEL as there is no evaporative emission, so there's no system in place to put the tank in vacuum for leak test.

If it's behind the fender directly behind the fill port there's a snap in connection like 4" down (the ports that are bolted to the body clip to a rubber hose going down to the tank). Easiest test would be fill it all the way up the neck and see if you get a steady steam. Despite what you'll read if you use a trim tool, and it's warm out, you can reuse the plastic rivets on the inner fender with a lil finagling and get a good look at what's going on.

Only other place you could potentially have a leak that would show up there would be the weird flapper piece they decided to put in: there are two tabs that lock it in to place, if they somehow got dislodged the neck won't seal.

This is what I suspect. I need to make time to inspect it and verify. Thank you.
