I tried one of those, but I couldn't stand it. It dug into my leg, I drive with my knees spread out. Years of riding cruisers with my knees in the breeze , I guess. Gave it to my father in law and he likes it.
I set my phone just to the right of the 4wd shifter, no problems there.

I love that holder.. I use the left side of it for my phone and the other side for a little trash thing for straw wrappers and receipts and stuff. The other one I really like (for my wife) is the handle grab tray right above the glove box.

I also did not remove the red tape because I did not want it sticking to anything.

The one I am looking for now is the one that fits in between the seat and the center console. I saw a post before about it but, cant find it now. I drop things down there and man its a PITA to get stuff out of there.

I love mine, I used 2 piece Velcro on mine, makes for easy removal if need be. Been kicking the idea around about a GMRS unit in the passenger side cubby.
