Anyone have real experience to share with 37" tires and re-gearing? I think my stock sport is 3.73....never saw 8th gear until I calibrated speedo - now am wondering if it is necessary to re-gear as I do see 8th gear occasionally and 7th often. Any experience? What will I gain and which is better?

I have a stock Overland, 3.73 of course, and stock 33" tires and it's a pooch towing an empty trailer. I'm thinking gears as the transmission is going to burn itself up shifting every 5 to 10 seconds. Yes, not towing yesterday and timed the bloody thing. It never stayed in any gear over 10 seconds top at 65-70 mph. That constant hunting is a heat generator!
And this was nw Iowa not our hilly area.
It's a pooch.
