Has anyone had their transfer case/shifter linkage removed and noticed how the 4wd shifter nanny detent works?
I assume there is some solenoid that actuates to prevent you from shifting into 4L under certain conditions or vise versa, preventing you from shifting out of 4L when on uneven ground ect....
I would think this device interacts with the transfer case lever and is not internal in the transfer case, since a select a trac transfer case is a pretty simple thing.
Looked through Jscan but didn't see anything so far that disables this nanny.
I am a bit old school and would like to determine when and how to use my 4wd and not have a computer second guess me.
