That sucks. Especially when you look at the RTTs available and notice that a lot of them are practically identical. Meaning they came from the same mfg overseas.

We're on our second Thule Tepui Basin after a Tepui Autana. We wanted the hardtop for rain and snow, and easier setup than the clamshell-type of the Autana. The first Basin had a production flaw that saw two cracks develop in the opposite corners of the lid. Got a new one under the 1-year warranty. Well, after having the replacement for 1.5 years, we noticed a crack in the lid. Sunuvabish.

Wasn't there another "overland" company that recently closed up and ghosted customers?

Vagabond Trailers was one that went under and took a lot of customer money with them. Shrockworks built bumpers and armor, they did the same thing.
