Yes it is. I did mine in stages too. Didn't take too long. The exact language is OVER 50 MPH and to not make starts at full throttle.
Again, let me say it is a giant Pain in the Ass!
LOL! that's exactly what I thought too.All the people passing me must think those Jeep pickups are giant pieces shit as the guy can only go 50 pulling the camper.
I didn’t realize this either. Guess it’s too late though for me. My first heavy tow was 500 miles round trip on interstate so I exceeded 50mph for most of it by 10-15mph.I just read that too. I didn’t know that the first 500 miles of towing regardless of non towing miles on the truck also requires a break-in period. At least that’s how I read it.
Just get a death grip on the wheel, and stare intently straight ahead, and everyone will think you’re scared shitless, and blame you, not the Jeep. All the people passing me must think those Jeep pickups are giant pieces shit as the guy can only go 50 pulling the camper.
Yep, my first real tow was 900 miles at hiway speeds as well. I guess I better sell. LOLI didn’t realize this either. Guess it’s too late though for me. My first heavy tow was 500 miles round trip on interstate so I exceeded 50mph for most of it by 10-15mph.
Well my first tow won’t be until I’ve gotta move across the country next year. I’ll do my best to stay under 50 mph for 500 miles but I doubt I’ll make it far going that slow lol.I didn’t realize this either. Guess it’s too late though for me. My first heavy tow was 500 miles round trip on interstate so I exceeded 50mph for most of it by 10-15mph.
Yep, that's how I read it as well. It is a separate break in period for towing. I wonder if it has to do with the computer for transmission and towing?I just read that too. I didn’t know that the first 500 miles of towing regardless of non towing miles on the truck also requires a break-in period. At least that’s how I read it.
Yea it definitely could be. I wish they had included those details. Oh well…I’ll do it correctly, but I’ll complain the entire time ?Yep, that's how I read it as well. It is a separate break in period for towing. I wonder if it has to do with the computer for transmission and towing?
