The Mrs and I are trekking down from ME to TN for the 2022 GSMJI and making some stops on the way. Originally planned with my buddy and his JK but his Jeep is out of commission for a while, so now we’re flying solo.

Camping at RC the night of 8/20 and looking to spend the day 8/21. I’d put myself at the higher end of “novice” and need to drive on to TN, so we’re not looking for anything too crazy but would like to get those 3 BOH.

Online videos don’t “feel” any more difficult than the “endless miles of rock gardens and boulders” at Jericho (NH) we were able to do stock, so I hope we’re up for the challenge of Crawl Daddy! Looking for a friend/guide/partner-in-crime for the day. Anyone interested in joining up?

Then, on to VA…

I was just at Rausch Creek in June. Did Trial #11 which is a big loop. It's a green trail. Crawl Daddy and Crawler Ridge are both black trails. Lots of rocks. I had to get winched 3 times for being high centered. It's best to do them with someone else.

Great time indeed. I went with the Power Wagon guys. Always a great with those hoodlums. I'm an OG with that group.

The video's don't do it justice. My video's of Crawl Daddy and Crawler Ridge didn't come out. My GoPro bricked on me and I didn't know it. So I had to shoot everything else with my Garmin VIRB.

If it has raining a few days before you go. There will be water puddles everywhere. Some will be deep. Last year, 2 Power Wagons hydro locked.

If your stock, or mostly stock i would suggest skipping Crawl Daddy, especially if you will be mid trip.
but if you leave the time to get all the way over to it take a look.
My lifted JK can’t get through without some rock kisses. I’m not claiming to be the best wheeler but I have some wheel time.
It would be cool to hear you made it without any damage but I’m confident you will be dragging the belly/ tail pretty good.

“Mostly” stock-ish Sport S MT with added armor (shocks, LCAs, rock rails, engine/oil pan, bed skids, hitch) on 35s with a little level/lift, no lockers, have had a few “kisses” already - but, good advice. We’ll save CD for last, if we have time.

Uuuu........no lockers. I think I would skip it. I beat the shit out of the skid plates.
