Access Literider Installed

I finally got around to putting a cover on after 2 weeks of owning the JT. I went with a Literider because I like the extra height compared to the Lorado and it's a bit less expensive.

I install a lot of these things and if they're installed correctly and taken care of, they work really well and are hassle free.

Who else has an Access cover?

I installed a Literider as well. I put a full length seal up front just like you did. Haven’t had any issues yet and have been out in some heavy rain.

They are nice covers for sure. I think people who have issues with leaking aren't sealing the bulkhead. The seal that comes on the cover just isn't enough by itself

I have a spray in Bedliner so hopefully the seal will hold over time. I wiped it down with alcohol as an added layer of security. There is no need, in my mind, to pay more for anything else. As long as luggage stays dry on road trips it’s doing it’s job. If there is some leakage I can put down a bedrug mat or something to soak up water at the ends before it hits the gear.

I installed the Access Literider as well. Very good cover for the price. Two questions or suggestions needed -
1. Dust does get in. Although not a lot but it does. I think there is no way around it or should I do something about sealing the tailgate a bit more. I think that is where it is mostly coming from.
2. Any bed racks that work with it. I know JCR off-road one works I think but any other?

what Did you use for the rubber seal? I have a Tyger that I bought second hand after a guy used it for 2 months. For $80.00 it’s pretty awesome but I had to buy the rubber seal at a hardware store and I bought what they had for maybe a window application for weather stripping. it’s not bad but could be better. If I knew what to get I’d probably replace it next time I take the cover off

It's a rubber L shaped seal that my work buys in bulk for installing with tonneau covers. Access cover includes a strip with their Lorado covers, but you may be able to buy it online by itself. The key is that it needs to be L shaped.

I'm planning to order one this weekend and not sure what version to get.

I have one, happy so far. Went with it over the “original” due to it being an “inside the rail” cover. Allowing for a rack of some sort later.

I went with the Literider! Really like it so far. Did the seal across the entire bulkhead as mentioned above. Personally, I think these "inside the rail" covers look much nicer than those that extend out overtop the bedrails.

Also, did their tailgate seal kit. There are some weird corners in the tailgate that are quite hard to close up - but I think I got it!

Now I just need to figure out some sort of low profile rails to run along the bedsides for a quick attach/detach rack system (yakima rails type thing). I really don't like anything available on the market now - probably end up making something of my own with a universal T-slot or this.

Just wanted to clarify this discussion since I had similar questions. I talked to Access and they confirmed that the Literider and the Original have the exact same fitment/profile, and occupy the same space on the bed rail. Either one should work the same, Original is just a bit more fancy, better seals, warranty, tensioner, etc.

I don't recall there being an Access "Original" model. I think they only offer a Literider and a Lorado model for the JT. You are basically correct on the differences between the two though. The Lorado is more expensive and will sit lower than the Literider as well. The Lorado also comes with the front bulkhead L seal and the Literider does not.

It was 90% about cost for me. I also didn't need/ or see the value in the Lorado version and the extra betty stuff it comes with. Keep in mind the Literider is the lower cost and the Lorado is the more expensive.

Thanks. I went with the Literider too. Figured the Access cover I had on my 1995 Silverado lasted for years and years and years looks like its built exactly like the Literider... can't imagine why I'd need "better quality".
