I know this is kind of a broad question, but I guess I'm just curious if there's any kind of consensus or anything like that regarding whether "genuine Mopar" accessories are worth the cost or not.

I just got my Gladiator a few weeks ago, and my wife has a JLR on the way, so we're looking at all of the new toys we want to add to our new toys. We live in Florida, so a windshield sunshade is a must.
We are also looking at the roof sunshades, same deal:
I generally don't like that look of having dozens of different brand stickers all over the inside of a vehicle from aftermarket accessories [not judging those who do - just not my thing], but man, Mopar accessories really are seeming like you're just paying for the label. Am I missing something?

If you can find something that Mopar is making that is unique or looks better quality than what you can find aftermarket, I would go with the mopar. I know they knocked it out of the park with the steel winch-ready bumper. The mopar stuff is going to be really really expensive. Most of what I put on mine was best quality stuff I could find, like the lift, which is definitely not mopar. I don't like their lifts. Little things like shades and stuff like that are probably going to fit better being mopar brand and you'll probably be happier with it.

I always see Mopar as my back-up. If I find something I want to "try" because it looks cool or is cheaper I will, but I know Mopar will always be there for perfect fitment and quality. There are exceptions, but the price for Mopar also includes a 2-year warranty:

Seems to me Mopar accessories are hit and miss. I bought the Mopar grab handles because they were the only ones I could find designed to fit using the existing screws in the roll cage. I did not want the velcro attached options otherwise available. Same with the bug deflector - only Mopar has a version that bolted to the underside of the hood using existing holes. Everyone else uses adhesive tape to secure the deflectors, which seems like a bad idea to me. On the other hand, I went with Rock Ridge door guards, as the Mopar version did not cover the lip at the top, which seems to be a prime spot for paint wear over time. Also when with the Holley/Intech cold air intake. I was going to go with the Mopar version, but read here that they wanted you to cover up the hole in the hood when it rained, so that seemed silly. Went with the Lomax hard bed cover just due to the high price of the Mopar version.

Some people only want manufacturer accessories, they pay through the nose for having OEM name on it.
Not to mention most of those accessories are made over seas.

Other people look for higher quality, made at home accessories. Yes most of them are expensive, but usually better quality and the money stays in the States.

It's your money, buy what you want.
