Today when i woke off of graveyard shift, the wife & i headed to Oklahoma from Houston i have 8,000miles now on this overland & have taken two trips one to San Antonio & another to Dallas to lay my mother to rest, well today i used adaptive cruise control & man what a super nice feature. It works great i didn’t think i would use such a gimmick but i was way wrong. Also this Rockkrawler suspension made the Jeep way smoother on the road i am more than happy.

I work exclusive nights, 6 PM-6 AM, with a 1 hour commute each way. I frequently use the adaptive cruise control coming home in the morning on the interstate when I'm usually pretty exhausted. For me it's an extra safety feature. When I first bought my JT, I too, thought I had no need for this gimmick but after 6 months of ownership I'm sure glad that I have it.

I explicitly did not want the feature. I've had rental cars and tried it out only to have the sensitivity slow down my vehicle constantly. Since I rarely use cruise control anyways, I definitely didn't want to pay for this.

If you're sleepy just pull over and take a power nap in your roof top tent

As long as you can keep a constant speed then you're fine. I hate when people vary by 5-10mph and I know their vehicle has cruise control. It irritates me so much to have to pass they same person 4 times... and they've been in the left lane the whole damn time.
