The box doesn't seem popular on here but for the price I had to do it. It looks very nice and is tuned ok. 1.3 cubes at 35hz I believe.

I wish they offered this box for 2 shallow mount 10" subs. I have a pair of JL 10TW3-D4 that I want to use & they only need .6 cu/ft per speaker.

Shallow mounts are not very good. This is WAY louder than 2 10" shallow mounts and play very low. I may add a 1" spacer to get 6.5" mounting depth and run a larger subwoofer with a 3" voice coil. You could even remove the felt on the bottom of the seat and get probably 7" mounting depth and run an even larger sub.

Not sure what shallow subs you've had in the past but these JL 10TW3 subs hit super hard. I had some Fosgate T1S2 shallow subs that I regret selling. Those fosgate subs would rattle my windshield. Not all subs are created equal. The AMP and more important the tuning of the system is key to get anything to sound good.

The sundown v3 with the pdx-v9 hit pretty damn hard. All the windows and mirrors shake. Especially when you get that lpf and tuning of the system right.

A single subwoofer ported is almost always louder than 2 sealed with the same power. I've built alot of high end competition setups

I had 12 15" subwoofers in a jeep with 12kw and 3 300 amp alternators. I've done alot of crazy stuff.

Here's a link to my old jeep I threw together with parts laying around the shop:

Shallow mount subs do not have as much excursion and the length of the voice coils very short. They can get loud from 40-60hz but below that they will be lacking compared to a high xmax ported sub. Now....2 12" sealed vs 1 10" ported gets hard to make the 10" keep up. If I were using shallow mount subs I would get the new kicker l7s and try to stuff 3 of them in a very tight box filled with as much poly fill as I could. The cone area and multiple motors/coils would make up for the sub par enclosure and subwoofer type.

Again just an opinion.

The box I used was very cheap very good looking and you FEEL it I'm the headrest and seat. It's bolted directly to the tub and produces very low and solid feeling bass. It's very good for the price. I may do my own a single or dual 12" compact ported box someday. For now a 3" coil driver and a 3kw amp will be a nice upgrade.

Awesome setup! I have the factory alpine and it is severely lacking. I used to be a basshead (last daily setup was a pair of zv4 18s on 8k in a grand Cherokee) and I'm not sure that I can "just have one drink" if you know what I mean. I'll likely be keeping it stock for that reason :(

I am having this same box installed next week with a Kicker CVR sub. I had the 2-10"s Fox box for my JK and it was amazing! I will be pushing the single 10" with a Boss PV3700 5-channel amp. I've never used a 5 channel amp before because I've always had multiple subs but it has 1125 watts rms for the sub which is fine. I replaced all interior speakers with Cerwin Vega H440 (4") and H435 (3") and they sound pretty good with factory power - much louder than stock. I'm hoping the 5 channel amp wakes them up. I'll report back with pics after the install is complete.

Did you have to cut the hole bigger in that Fox box to clear the basket of that level 2?
