I had a Mojave and traded it in on a Tundra. I really missed the JT so I found a good deal on this 2022 Sport. The only problem is I need power door locks. It has everything else I want. Front and rear lockers, 3.5” lift, 4:88 gears, 37’s

Nice looking rig. If you have the wiring, the power locks aren't too terribly hard to install. Takes a couple hours to take apart the doors, switch out the actuators and install the new harnesses. Really does make a big difference.

If you don't have all the wiring, the other option is to either add the two power leads to the door side harness and then use an aftermarket alarm with remotes to power it. It's just +/- 12v. but you won't get the proximity handles or any internal switches. I did that on a 2dr JK long ago....

Thanks for all of your help man! I’m glad that I found this thread it was exactly what I was looking for.
In the same boat. Just got a 23 JT Willys and i want to add the power locks. Haven't opened the door yet to check the wiring. I do have the "ajar" wiring. so, my understanding is to change all for door actuators and 4 jumpers and tie into some sort of RF transmitter to get powered up. My key fob did not come with any buttons, just the switch blade key. I purchased and aftermarket fob with the needed buttons and plan on moving the proximity chip to it. Any other suggestions?
Thanks for your post and all the information

In side the doors themselves, yes, you just have to change the four actuators and replace the harnesses. I'd strongly suggest doing the proximity locks at the same time. If you do, you don't even need a fob with buttons.

If you do want the buttons, you probably need to get the dealer to add the fob. You can add fobs to a JT with the full 8.4 radio + connectivity but on the base models there doesn't seem to be a way to do it easy. Somewhere in this thread is the bit about turning on the option that lets the buttons actually work.

Let me know how the install goes for you! I haven’t had time to try and tackle it yet.

So I started the install yesterday, so far so good. Just a quick question. The jumper are just added to the new door harness and to add a power switch to each door? The unused wires on the jumper are for adding power windows and for this install are not used? Thanks for everyone’s assistance

depends on which harness you ended up with and what you are doing but there are, I think, three possible sets of wires left over.

  • the power windows (roughly middle is the harness)
  • the power mirrors (upper front)

  • Proximity handles (upper back

I got too focused on just the door and wasn’t looking at the door panel. Drivers side is installed, toughest part was pulling the trigger to cut a hole in the panel for the door lock switch. On to the passenger and back doors.

All oem wire harness, jumpers and latches have been replaced I went in to alfaobd and activated power locks. Front door switch is not working. In alfaobd there is an option to lock all doors. I did this and only the back doors lock, when I select lock divers or passenger door only, I can here the module in the dash click, but nothing on either front doors. Anyone have any suggestions? I also used Jscan to double check that power doors are active.
TIA

I'd double check the wiring harnesses. I believe it's Pins 26 and 27 (Green/DarkGreen and BrownGreen/Green) where the door harness connects into the body harness. Make sure the body harness has those wires. Then check for bent pins.

The passenger door is same pins 26/27 but should be a Green/DarkGreen and Violet/Green...

But it really should be that simple. a 12v signal on those lines locks/unlocks
