What year is your JT?

The easiest way to to look at the body side of the door harness. If its full or mostly full then you are good ... If it only has a couple wires, then likely you don't.

I've never been able to find a complete pin out for the connectors but piercing together a couple wiring diagrams I believe you need to have at least Pin 26 (Green/DarkGreen) and Pin 27 (BrownGreen/Green) which are thick wires (power for the locks), Pin 17 (BrownGreen/Brown) for the switch, and Pins 6 (Violet/BlueGreen) and Pin 18 (Violet) which are the door ajar sensors.

If you are missing Pin 15 (Green/white stripe) and Pin 16 (Green/yellow stripe), but mostly everything else, you are probably good to go except for the proximity locks. You would need a custom harness to add those pins and plug back to the body computer. Several people off those as part of the proximity kits (including @AllMoparParts.com).

Obviously there are a bunch of other pins... lock status, power windows, power mirrors, lights etc...
I've been searching for a few days looking for the 2 pin sizes for this door harness.....Anyone know the sizes (i did find 2 jumpers for $100, way over priced) Just thinking about down the line when I may want to add power windows or mirrors. TIA

They were 14 gauge wires on the JKs, not sure what they are on the JL/JTs but likely the same.

There is a Mopar Connection Repair Kit site that lists every connector .. it shows "Gauge 2" for the Pins.

http://connectors.dcctools.com/home.htm

There is significantly more details on the Wrangler harnesses than the Gladiator ones so check both...

Lots of interesting stuff on that site.

Jeep1.....thanks for all your help. i saw a pic/diagram of the pin layout from the door to the body harness (not xy600a, but the female connection) and of course now that i want to use it as a reference, i cant find it anywhere. I try to save pics/diagrams to my computer for future reviews, but i failed on this one.....anyone have access or a link for this diagram...TIA

Here you go .. complete with the Mopar "repair kit" numbers for the pins.

Thank for that. I’m actually looking for the layout of door pin connector.

ok....frustration level is beyond 100 and stepping away I installed all oem actuators and wiring harness. I added a door lock switch only on the driver’s side.

I am not looking to install proximity locks, just want to be able to lock and unlock all my doors from 1 position. The 2 rear doors work fine, when I shut my jeep off they unlock on their own. I get nothing from the front doors. When I use Alfa obd and go to lock all doors, only the rear one’s lock and unlock. I can hear the relay behind the glove box click when I only try to lock either front door. All power lock settings have been activated with Jscan.

I do not have pin 15 or 16 in my harness. I tried to connect a direct 12v line to wire 26 & 27, nothing. Tried to ground 1 of those lines and the actuator in the door does lock or unlock 1 time. I’ve tried tapping into wire 5 and 17 to power the door switch and nothing (tested the switch for power and got 12 volts).

What am I missing? Am I just over thinking it? Do I need to tap into xy315a harness? Is it not working because I haven’t wired up the passengers side xy600a?

Any help would be appreciated.

Jeep1 thanks for all your help and sorry for blowing up your thread

Been a while since I did the 2014 JK .. but that worked, if I remember rightly on +/-12v on those two wires. ground one, 12v on the other, door locks, switch wires, door unlocks.

So... starting to get way more complicated than I'm entirely comfortable guessing for you. I just don't know what parts will be there and which won't be on your JT.

It sounds like you have all the wiring for the rear doors but, as you've discovered, you are missing at least some of the wiring to the door harnesses (XY600A/XY650A).

I think you need to look at xy315a and see if the those pins are there (1,2,3, 22, 23) on the body side. If they are then yes, you could run wiring from that harness to the driver and passenger doors. In theory, that's as simple as pushing in wires with the right pins on them and following the harnesses as needed. Or you could just tap it on the otherside of xy315a and just do pins at the doors. If you don't have the wiring there, you might need to trace that harness back to the body control module and run the wires from there.

Sorry it's such a mess for you. I got lucky that my 2020 had all the wiring there.

2023 Gladiator Sport here. I looked at the XY315A and noticed that I am missing pins on the IP side: 3,4,20,21,22,23,25,26 which basically might be your issue. Those pins are there on the body side so basically will need to add those wires to XY600A,XY650A.

Did some digging on the connectors etc... Looking at the wiring diagrams I created a map of all the pins we need for powered door locks + passive locks. Just ordered the terminals from Mouser and will let you know after I wire everything up if it works.

The pins I ordered are in the part# column for the spreadsheet. Those part numbers all showed up in Mouser's database. Basically I ordered 2-3 times more than I need just in case I screw up the crimp. Have lots of experience with automotive wiring and always manage to screw up some of the crimps so always order extra. Anyway I'll confirm whether they are all the right pins when I get them and wire everything up.

Need to wait till I get the harnesses/locks/passive handles etc.. to test end to end.

I ordered a couple dozen of each. I have all the harnesses, actuators and switches installed. Hoping this is one step closer to succes
