Definitely hit up harbor freight, watch for a coupon and get a Daytona floor jack, they have low clearance ones too if you also have vertically challenged vehicles. A bottle jack and a few chunks of various size wood, would be a decent road kit that wouldn't take up too much room. Just don't get rid of the factory crank handle, you need that to drop the spare too.

Those epoxy garage floors look nice but give me textured cement any day due to things like slippage.

Floor jacks have a problem trying to fit on the passenger front axle where only a narrow piece of axle tube is accessible. Anyone know of a pad or such to fit onto the floor jack to reach up into that narrow space like the stock scissor jack can? Something like the bottle jack adapters, but for the floor jack.
The “off-road” jacks typically have an adaptor that does what you mentioned. I have both, these and the traditional floor jack, you do have to get more creative with the traditional floor jack but sometimes the “off-road” jacks are too high.

They’re actually not slippery even though they look like it. I wash inside with soap and still not slippery. With oil yes than it is. Unfortunately it was just my mistake. Even if this was textured concrete, the location would’ve made it fly out.

I was looking at that one but 80 pounds and it’s big. It’s a knock off of the ProEagle jacks.

After looking at all my options, I think my safest bet is to get a four wheeled jack over a single bottle style.

This one comes in at 38 pounds and its compact version.

I do have a floor jacket at home, but as I mentioned, I was experimenting with the scissor jack and the off-road base from AEV hoping for that to work but maybe on flat dirt or flat surfaces it might be OK. I think I’m just gonna order another OEM jack for the street and then get this Talon and figure out where I can mount it on my rack when I’m on adventures.

I have a floor jack, I was trying out this base with the oem one to see how it does. Now looking for an offroad one small portable, lightweight.
If I had a floor jack I'd never waste my time with the scissor shit.....but that's me

Well, I was kind of hoping that that AEV base would work for off-road. I have limited space so an off-road jack is gonna be so hard for me to figure out. I’ll have to sacrifice something to fit it on the rack.

I was looking over all the options for space and safety.

Safe Jack makes some good stuff

It a bottle and they make a platform for it. It will take up similar space as the Pro Eagle Talon and the Talon I can mount on a rack and put a cover on it that it comes with.

I'm just going to order the Talon since I can use it in the garage over my other jack and still take it on trips. The Talon also has the axle adapter. It is nice you turn an lock it in place.

Pro Eagle also has this bottle jack that works with C02. They say 10-15 lifts on a full bottle. It’s light weight but still takes up space with a case and it won't do what the Talon can do in terms of safety and all and you need to make sure the bottle has enough c02 to lift.

The Talon also has a jack lock accessory. You can turn the jack into a jack stand which is a huge plus!

I have an Xtrude Overland rack which I can add a extra track under the rack to mount this and pull it out. My rack is 10" height but should fit based on the dimensions.
