I had a procal snap on my JL and wasn’t in love. You wire it into the OBD harness and bypass stuff. I broke a wire doing it wrong and had to solder it. Get a Tazer lite.

Thanks for the post
I’ll consider doing the taxer. I already have a procal so I might just go ahead and run the harness

Check out the Jscan app as well. It will do almost everything the Tazer will do at a friendlier price. If you need a link to the cable to OBD adapter, let me know.

Another vote for Jscan. Unlike all the others programmers, you can use it on more than one Jeep (3 in my household) simply by purchasing another license for around $20.

Hmmm. I’ll look into it
How does Jscan work

Do I buy the app and then buy a cable.

You have to buy the bypass cable and an OBD adapter for your phone. The app and some basic functions are free. To go into deeper settings, you have to buy a license for Jscan which is $21 on iPhone version.
So for around $75 you can make all the changes you need to with Jscan.

Good info above. I have the JScan, I run 315's (35's) W/4.56. I also use my turn signals as running lights "via JScan". It cant do everything like a Taser but for me it does all I need for sure and is super simple to hook up and change a setting or check my settings after a Service visit.

Sans one caveat: the first and maybe second time you remove the two plugs under the dash to hook up to the cable maybe frustrating. Not much room under there and they are HARD to remove "initially" for me.

Now I can go out there, pop of the panel, reach under & remove the two plugs, plug into the cable and make changes....then have everything back in a few minutes....the plugs literally slide out now.

I have a AEV Snap, the install is pretty easy once you figure out how the OBD connector opens. It does not bypass anything that I am aware of, you can change tire size, axle ratio and transfer case low range. It is a quality product made in the US by a company with a long history of making well tested Jeep parts. You can usually pick one up that someone is selling who did not use for around $80.

I spoke with my dealer, they charge a little over a $100 to do the flash as they have to order the software... ?? With that said, is there any reason to go with a dealer flash vs an aftermarket option? Any warranty issues? I am going up to a LT285/75R17, but still want the speedometer and calcs to be correct.
