I have started the upgrade process, as in design/purchasing components. A true audio guy is not going to be able to leave even the Alpine upgrade alone for long! My question is the PAc device or other options. Is this device reliable? Good quality? I have seen some post talking about static?
I am leaning on a reliable local shop to do the install, Im picky and the labor price they gave me was fair (Im not sure he realizes the effort for the driver knee speaker). Rewire front stage for 6", 4", tweeter. I have sourced a pair of passive 3-way x-overs and powering all speakers with Rockford Power T400ad. My goal is really responsive mid bass so I'm going to keep a 4" driver in the soundbar but no tweeter there(I have plate adapters but Im against cutting up the inside of the bar). I put the equivilent of a Focal 100k 4" and it rocks off the factory power. Using the factory sub for now, I know that not going to last long but quality amp are expensive. I'm over $2K now. Any thoughts about the PAC unit or install tip for mid range response in your JT's
