Actually mine moves just like yours, but the fast adjust stabilizer has a longer shaft than their non adjustable. In addition to that, it's designed to work with stock suspension and steering.
In all honesty, it’s a wonder this isn’t a more common problem. Anything reusing stock locations also has to assume the tie rod length is within a certain range. It’s unfortunate that the mounting bracket is fixed to the end of the piston and not clamped around the piston itself (which could allow for adjustments).

In any case, I ordered a 2” tie rod clamp from Apex and am going back that route.

You do have a point. It would seem that after all of this time and with so many manufacturers, there would be more setups that allow for adjusment when using stock mounting positions.
