I think I'm screwed. 2020 Glad with 79,000 miles on the clock. Checking MaxCare it won't provide with that high of miles unless I'm missing something.

We got the dreaded ESS light and CEL with misfires galore on our 3rd day of ownership and now I'm panicked that we just bought a bad truck. I denied the highly overpriced warranty that the dealer offered at purchase because they are always a rip-off IMO.
That is always the risk of buying used is you are buying somebody else's bag of crap.

Plenty of posts of people saying they are trading in their JT's the first sign of misfire and valvetrain problems. Someone is buying that pig in a poke second hand.

Would be interesting if you had a scan tool that could tell you when the MIL was last reset?

Hopefully the selling dealer can give you some relief but I am sure you bought "as-is".

If I was quicker on my feet when we were looking at the truck, I would have plugged in my scan tool. I did not, and now I wish I did. When it threw a code, I plugged in, and it was all related to lean condition and misfires.

Don't want to hijack this thread with different topics, but yes, purchased as-is, as many used vehicles are.

Does anyone have a 3rd party warranty that they actually like and have used with success?
