It seems the only thing they would protect you from are door dings. I have a really bad one on my passenger side that would have been prevented. My only thing is that I agree that they are not very attractive.

agreed. They are stick on, which is attractive to me. I like the idea of some protection without drilling holes. This is just all I’ve seen so far. At least that not ppf or a wrap of some kind. Which won’t stop a random shopping cart from putting a dent in my door.

Here’s a thought from left field: call a local local paintless dent repair place in your area and ask what a 1” aluminum door ding would cost to repair. I’d wager you could get a couple dents repaired for that same price. Then ask yourself how many door dings you’ve ever gotten…for me, it would be a bad investment as I’ve never had to have a door ding repaired.

Air Design has some crazy designs. Any rock slider or steps would prevent carts from hitting your doors. I think that company's prices are a bit steep for what they sell but I don't have any experience with them, just what I've seen on their website. I like other products they sell for their "street" products but not the Jeep products.

Get yourself some factory rock rails, buy some tubing and find a buddy with a welder. A few paint cans later and no shopping carts or doors will ever ding my doors. I even added skateboard grip tape so my wife doesn’t slip getting in and out.
