So I daily drive my JT and the stock Dueler A/T's are just big enough that I can't justify buying new tires until these wear out.
They have great traction in snow so far and did fine on some mild offroad trails that I've tried. Plus when i DO need new tires it'll be like an exciting new truck when I get to upgrade them.

Anyway, I'm wondering if its still a good idea to air down with these tires and if so, what's a good PSI to run them at?
I have an Overland so it has the 18" wheels (not sure why its hard to find good tires for this size, or why they decided to go with these on the Overland but thats a different conversation) so I have 255/70r18's

Also, probably a dumb question, but would a small carry tank, maybe 8 gallons or so, that I can fill up with my compressor at home, be sufficient to top off these tires if they only need ~10lbs (or whatever the answer to the first question is) per tire?

Thanks,
Trevor

I have aired down to 20 psi. No problems.

For the second question I would still have an air compressor with you on the truck just in case.

Thanks! Does the TPMS beep the whole time when they're low?

It’s just keeps a light on your dash. I had aired down my stock overland tires as well with no issues. Good luck!

You can air down any tire. And should depending on what you’re doing.

A tank won't do it for you---by the time on you're on the second tire the pressure in the tank won't be enough to overcome the pressure to actually get air in the tire.

I would definitely try the tank theory on all the tires before believing it will work.

Please keep us informed if you do try the test.
