All these broken windshields, who is making a reveal to close in the open perimeter?? In old car restoration or body work terminology, the reveal would be a piece of rubber or chrome or even plastic in later years to close in and surround the 1/4 inch gap around our windshields??

I am 30 months in to owning this JT and got my first two hits on the highway, month apart. $220.00 not to bad, hour wait. Great shop.

Great window shop manager said, his number one replacements are the JT/JL/JK, etc. Says the Gorilla glass is not exempt and not worth it. He says the bulk of the damage he sees are around the open perimeter.

Even if you don't agree with that, the fact that we don't have a way to close in this gap could lead us to rusted window frames like so many Wrangler, YJ and CJ models before us. While paint and finishing has improved over the years, these things will cost way mere then a CJ,YJ or even a TJ replacment window frame.

who is making a reveal to close in the open perimeter??

I've never seen a JK or JL or JT specific reveal molding. However, there are 'universal' windshield/window filler strips you can try. The thing is that (unlike the JK) the JL/JT does indeed have a rubber molding around the windshield, between the glass and body, that may prevent the insertion of the retainer part of the universal filler strip. I actually used a piece of small diameter vacuum hose to fill the gap on my JK.

As the owner of many Jeeps, I have found that even the ones with rubber trim around the windshield that have flat glass (CJ, YJ, Commando) I still had issues with cracked windshields. I have always considered it the nature of the beast.
I must admit that I never had this issue on a older Wagoneers or a Cherokees, but these seem to have had issues with fogging/deglazing around the perimeter.
