Anyone else use this kit's harness as part of your audio install? I'm noticing the labeled remote wire that's part of the uconnect wiring harness does not seem to behave as you'd expect a remote wire. I first took notice because the amp would feel warm even when first getting into the truck after sitting for a couple days. Checked right at the harness and noticed this wire is usually ~3V or 12-13V and doesn't appear to be always switched (and it's never at 0V). Is it really alpine's intention to keep the amp on 24/7? I'm planning on "fixing" this by tapping the 12v auxiliary/cig lighter and running that to the harness's remote wire instead. I even checked some of the other wires in the harness to see if there was anything resembling a switched remote wire and did not have any success. I've read that some others have checked that main harness as well and came up short - so does alpine's kit really just plan on having the amp on all the time? ?

There is a button on the side of the subwoofer that is labeled "Power Mode" make sure that button is in the UP position.
