Last weekend while at AOAA there were times where I was off camber or slightly twisted in some of the rocks and trails. I’ll post pics below of the pitch/roll at the time but as you will see it wasn’t anything crazy - definitely not what I see people doing in pics of Moab or some place similar for example. What got my attention though was that the roof made some pretty loud squeaking and sort of cracking noises.

My question is: would we be better off with a stamped honey comb aluminum panel roof vs. the fiberglass? Is this twisting, cracking fiberglass roof why so many people have window leaks? I don’t even know if an aluminum roof would be practical or ridiculously expensive or maybe somehow be worse, just throwing this out here for conversation.

No cause for alarm. Its like a fiberglass boat. Lots of creaking as she sways in the swells

Soft top problem solved.
Hahaha, that’s a great answer! What’s funny is that I didn’t even consider that, but yeah, a soft top is indeed a thing.

Good advice, thanks. It hasn’t done that before, at least not so loud it got my attention, so I had one of those “WTF was that?” moments.

The bed is not going to twist and flex enough to matter. My ARE camper looks great and is solid. Side windows open for easy access to everything inside.
