first, a lil' background. I have owned 2 YJ's, a scrambler, and have rebuilt dozens of cars from insurance auctions. this is my latest conquest that I have a taste for, noting that there are no emissions restrictions or safety restrictions where I live. thoughts and input are welcome...

That's going to cost you the price of several new gladiators just in parts. These are so new that I don't think you're going to find a lot of deals or even availability for a lot of it. Is there anything left beyond the frame?

Looks like someone’s already conquered it - and they did a real good job of it.

I rebuilt a 4th gen Camaro after an interior fire. This “Jeep” doesn’t compare. What are you thinking of doing with it? Because emissions and safety restrictions are far from the biggest concerns.

frame and body are intact and workable, mostly aftermarket parts are going back in, most of which are shared with the JKU, with a few more cylinders going under the hood

I typically find that if you have to ask the question, you already know the answer.

But, to state the obvious; YES, you are crazy.

lifted, v8, aftermarket toys throughout is the plan (and I should mention that the last one I looked at in this condition went for 400 bucks)

What are your plans for it? Rebuild probably wouldn't make sense due to parts, but doing your own thing with that frame could be cool

For an off road rock bouncer, hill climber, that would be perfect.

Crazy? Dunno, don't know you.

I was going to ask if that was really a gladiator but then I noticed the massive jutting frame horns sticking out a foot where the bumper goes.

I read an industry article/report/something recently that talked about the metallurgy involved in a JL/JT, and I don't think you'll find that much of the structure will have survived. Assuming the frame aft of the C-pillar isn't folded (and it looks to be), the roll cage and about a foot fore and aft of the b-pillar have for sure been compromised by heat. I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. And I'm completely off my rocker. So, yes. You are crazy.
