Android Audio Stopped Playing Texts

I don't know if anyone else has experienced this yet, but last week my Android Audio stopped showing and playing text messages, in both my Gladiator and my Wife's JLU. We have Pixel 8 phones.

I tried uninstalling Android Audio and reinstalling it, I went through all the settings again, I tried everything I can think of to no avail. I am wired and my wife is using AAWirerless, so it must be something in the phone, not the trucks.

Has anyone else experienced this? Has anyone found a fix yet?

It could have something to do with the current celestial events occurring in our atmosphere. Strong magnetic disruption from the sun. Give it a few days and see what happens

Check for updates in the store, and then reboot the phones. Android Auto updated on my phone in the last few days.

Mine did too, but when I uninstall the update and plug the phone into the truck, it won't launch Android Auto, it makes you update and the texts don't appear...

The only thing I can suggest would be to check for a firmware update for the phone, and then make sure all the installed apps are updated. Look in Android Auto for a place to report the problem (Support/Help/About).

If it's a problem affecting multiple users, it usually gets reported and fixed right away.

Mine stopped doing texts 6 months ago, then last week it started up again

Mine was working, until last week..

I put an early version of android auto on and it fixed it. Except I must have changed some permissions on my phone when trying to get the newer version to work and now when it asks me if I want to reply it says, something like it needs access to something and check the cars notifications. But I can't find any notifications..

Go to Settings, Apps, Android Auto, and adjust permissions and notifications there.

I did, I gave it full permission to everything...

Watch the phone screen when you try to do a reply and see if anything shows up there.

You may just have to wait for the next Android Auto update and hope they fix the issue.

Tried that, nothing shows up.
Unfortunately now Android Auto says it will require it to be updated soon...
