Android Auto text alert

It's been a while but has there been any resolve to not getting text alerts when Android Auto is running? I get text alerts when just connected by Bluetooth but not in Android Auto.

It's never been an issue for me. The head unit changes to the Android Auto screen and pops up an alert box when a text message is received.

What head unit do you have, @NonHyphenated American ? Have you checked the settings in the head unit? I think you have to enable text message alerts there and in the bluetooth settings > UConnect to disable txt message alerts.

I have Uconnect7, I haven't taken a look at all the head unit settings yet.
