Mine is just like they built it except the ESS is turned off with the Tazer and all is good even after 3 year .

Two years back I disconnected the auxiliary battery to test the main battery. Never reconnected it. I guess I need to remove the old auxiliary battery.

Good idea. It will go dead and then bad things can happen. Not likely in FL, but here, it would freeze, split, then thaw and make a mess

I need to remove it, I'm sure it will leak sooner or later.
