Update:
After much discussion I’ve started a claim with my insurance & they are going to fight it out with his. The shop is backed up, no formal estimate yet but the lead estimator did call me late Wednesday. He’s driven Jeeps exclusively for 20 years, knows them well & he’s on the fence on whether it can be repaired or not. He said the frame is bent & if it’s not totaled he would recommend a new frame. He said 3 years ago he would have said yes it’s totaled but by the same token he just got done with an ’09 Pontiac G8 that insurance wanted fixed. Probably a week and a half before I know for sure. The waiting is killing me. Got a Colorado crew cab for a rental so a least I have something to drive.
