I have a replacement windshield and I noticed that the little jeep in the bottom right hand corner isn't a gladiator but a Wrangler. Is that the way they came originally or just because of the replacement glass?

Not a big deal and I can live with it but I just was wondering and thought if that's the case others that get replacements may want to question it.
That's how they are........ My original and my replacement - both more along the line of the CJ image

I had mine replaced with Pilkington (what my M3 had from the factory) by Advance Auto Glass & Tint in Denver. $363 installed. if i wanted the Mopar/Jeep logo it was $554. I declined the $175 calibration. Will report back if I notice anything odd with the ACC.

I believe someone actually posted that calibration isn't necessary as these had a calibration mode they can be put in and they auto-calibrate.
Mine was never done, and I know others have posted theirs was never "Calibrated" - and worked fine.
Mine has worked flawlessly since the glass was replaced.

My policy covers repair at $0.00 & replacement at $50.00. Here is the good news... JL & Gladiators are new enough that Safelite only carries Mopar OEM glass. No aftermarket worries & I still have a little jeep trying to climb up my window.

That's was the same thing they told me. Also that they had to order one and it would take awhile. I was just wondering if they ordered the Wrangler version instead of the Glad version. Good to know that they're one in the same if I was spending extra on it.

However I would have paid the extra for the OEM version anyway.

From the "B" pillar, forward the JT & JL are the same except for maybe front axle changes. Behind the B pillar, its 90% different.

Grills are different - parts interchange, but they are different. There are side-by-side photos in the Wrangler area. Some folks have been swapping inserts, etc. but on the face, they even look different when seen close to each other.

Replacement windshields should have the Jeep upside down. To indicate an "oops" moment has occurred.
Love it!

Had two big chips in the first five months / 7K miles. Eight months after installing HGP's windshield, not a scratch or ding, 12K miles.
Two chip repairs at 1600 miles already. I’d be curious how people with Gorilla glass are doing.

I talked to my glass folks, little mom & pop shop I've used for 20+ years, they had no idea what I was talking about. I emailed HGP and they said no problem, I received my glass and my shop installed it for ~$120 (something like that). No muss, no fuss, 2 yr warranty intact.

I reached out to HGP and they wanted me to buy the glass first, have it shipped to my home and then and only then would provide me a list of installers in my area. I wat to call an installer, get a quote , have it instal and thats it.

How did you do the HGP replacement?
