Another trip down to Moab, just under 600 miles each way.

Elivation here is apx 3500 ft, in Moab apx 4500 ft, topped out at 7700 or so on hwy 89/6 out of Spanish Fork.

I drive 63 mph with the trailer hooked up, seems to be my sweet spot for 5 gear most of the way, good use of 4th and some 6th.

Nothing to report, which is a good thing! Just another trip down and back.

I do a few other smaller trips, 2-3 hrs away. This 9hr and a hunting trip in the fall apx 6 hrs are my "big trips".

Fuel avg was 7.5 mpg.

Trailer runs apx 5250 lbs ready for the road; full propane, no water, gray and black empty, with my food and stuff for the trip.

Nice set up, what gears are you running in the axles?

Max Tow edition, running 4.10's with 285/75R17's.

I'm having a 2.5" lift put in and will go up to 35's shortly. At that point I'm going to regear to 4.88's most likely and or 4.56's. Leaning 4.88's. Will do a front locker at that point also.

With the gear calculator 4.56's should put me back to where I was stock with the factory 245's, but 4.88 would give me "better" performance especially towing and if I ever go 37's be the right set up for that.

I basically have the same plan. Added the AEV Mojave spacer lift and now running 35" Falkens AT3 but not towing yet, still looking for a trailer and then I'll regesr to 4.88 and add a front locker

^^ agreed. is that a custom build? Love the toy hauler combo.
Yes! Got it from Mirage Trailers here in Nampa ID (just out side Boise). It's a 16' box 7' wide V nose. Full bath in the nose. I have 100 gal water, 50 gray and black tanks. AC, 100 watt Solar etc. 5000 lb axles.

It's all steel construction, 6" frame. She's a beef cake. Heaver than I thought it was going to be :giggle: but tows great. I'm under (ok at) every limit for the truck.
