Well, the JT has not been very kind to me recently.

After my radio randomly decided to glitch out (see thread here: https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/uconnect-screen-glitching-out.106893)

I was able to get a new uconnect 7inch system from a nice member here who upgraded his system to an 8.4 months ago, and it was basically sitting in his garage.

Fast forward: I thought maybe my batteries were getting low - so I replaced the main and aux, and installed the new radio and things were great - until today.

Driving with my wife, she complained of being cold: so on the dash, I pressed the warm button and noticed that the slider on the uconnect screen wasn't moving, it was just stuck on max cold.

I then clicked into the climate setting and it showed the same thing - slider to bottom. I tried moving the digital sliders in the climate app, but the slider does not move at all. The only way for me to adjust the temp is to take my finger, and try and press/hold the slider and move it on the little Hot to Cold chart.

Now I don't know what is going on, and to be frank - I love my JT but I"m starting to get a wee bit annoyed with these glitchy issues (only months AFTER my electrical warranty expired) that are popping up.

I've tried to do a soft reset but can't even do that.

1. Do I press and hold the volume/on off button? Well that's what the manul says. I press and hold for 30+ secs and the screen/radio turns off - but nothing ever resets. I then push and hold again and the radio turns on, and yet nothing ever resets.

2. Everything else seems to work within the climate control app. I can press all the buttons to increase/decrease air flow, change air output, etc.

3. I currently have the battery disconneted - positive and negative, but that never seems to fix these glitches.

Any ideas? Please...

Bump

Checked the Jeep after about 45in battery dissconnect - reconnected and booted up and still with the same issue.

I even took apart the radio to make sure the connections were tight, and checked my fuses.

What in the world is going on with this Jeep?

I'm wondering - since this 7inch Uconnect was from another memebr who maybe didn't have the same model Sport S as I do, would I need to take my JT to the dealer for them to flash (or proxi align - which I keep reading?) for this to work?

Yea the reset requires you to hold down both the on/off volume button AND tuner button at the same time till the screen goes dark. The system will then reboot. Hope that helps.

I've held both for like a minute and they never reset.

what position did you have the ignition button in? Best place is on ACC, one push foot off the brake.
I have it on run - but swore I’ve tried acc.

Well I figured it out for anyone who has this issue in the future -

I had to update some settings in JScan:

Hvac configuration then select dual zone atc.
