Hello All, I'm thinking of putting in a manual kill switch on my Gladiator as an anti-theft deterrent. I used to have one on my old Cutlass back in the day, the hidden switch would deactivate the fuel pump.

Have any of you added a kill switch to your vehicles yet and if so, what do you recommend?

Question, are Gladiators actually getting stolen at a rate to worry about?

Go with the 41.22 Kill switch. Easy to install and easy to reverse if needed.

No, but honestly the easiest thing would be to just pull the fuse for the PCM or something and keep it in your pocket.

I guess that depends on where you live. It's also cheap insurance to help prevent it from happening to you. If you have something nice there is always going to be people that want it.

I live in Riverside, CA where numbnuts will attempt l to steal anything. But bottom line is that it's just about the extra deterrence especially if staying overnight at a location that I'm not familiar with.

I also live in So Cal with the numbnuts.

So I don't see a kill switch as a deterrent like using a Club device on the steering wheel or something that a thief can actually see before breaking in. A kill switch should prevent a drive away theft but the thief will not be aware of the kill switch and may still break in trying to steal it.

Any reports of thieves stealing Gladiators by towing them away? A kill switch wont help in that case.

Just install a pre-made harness, pick a supper concealable switch and your good to go.
Adds one more layer of resistance.
I did, it's super easy and nobody can find my switch.
But it's readily available.

When you install the harness just wrap it with same harness tape used on all the wires behind the dash. I installed the switch between the start/stop switch, and found a very small flush switch online and installed it within easy reach.

The link below is the harness that goes between the start/stop switch, super east 100% removable to stock.

Just do it you'll be happier in the long run, such an easy way too thwart a complete steal.

The vendor shipped quick, think about where you're going to install the switch, try to think like a low life scum bag trying to steal a truck and don't put it there. Ive asked people too find my switch and they can't now these are close friends and when they give up I still won't show them. show no-one.

I installed a fastmax! You can get in the truck but you're not going anywhere
