I've got a Swedish Vallhund (wolf corgi) and in the few times hes tried to jump in, he's about 50/50 on his attempts. Definitely would not let him jump out though, way too high. Thankfully he's only 30lbs so I just lift him in and out.

I didnt know if the fellow dog owners have any difficulty getting the dogs in the backseat? I have a JK 2 door now so he goes all the way in the back with the seat taken out. I worry about the height of the rear seat from ground...seems like it would be a doozy jumping out. I have even though about making a ramp or stairs. any other ideas?

I have a 60lb lab if that helps.

For cleaning pet hair from cloth seats. I spray Febreze first and vacuum right away while it is still damp, it acts like a lubricant and helps the hair slide out of the cloth , and gets the dog smell out at the same time.

Shorty here has to be picked up and put into any car or truck. The Goldendoodle is a horse of a different color. She is tall enough to step into any car yet she refuses to do so, wants to be picked up and put into any car. And getting her into or out of a truck, well you know how that’s going to play out. But she does love the rides.

I guess it would depend on the age of and which breed of Lab you have? Some are stalker than others. Our 70lb GSP can easily jump on to the back seat of my Sierra, 6" lift on 37's so personally we're not to worried about it.

As for the cleanliness, we use this in my wife's car, We keep one side zipped down for the kids booster seat and the other ziped up so it acts as a hammock for him. had it for 2 years easy to put in and take out and machine washable. Carhartt makes a similar one but be prepared to pay for it $$$

I notice my lab/collie mix who is a very healthy and active guy but is now 9yrs old will always jump in the front if i open both doors, the front seat is a little lower. I go with his preference as there is certainly a reason for it. On my JKU and JK I would let him jump out the back since the seats were always down/out to make it easier. He seems reluctant to jump out sometimes. I don't want to wreck him! Might be time to look into the ramps.. I have a 3 inch lift and 34's on the JT. As for dog hair all vehicles are the same, do whatever works. Not sure how often you brush your dog but the more the better to reduce hair build up in your sweet rig!

Anybody tried throwing a pork chop in the back seat technique yet? It should work.

Nah, I use the pork chop to get the dog to play with the wife.

She does find it annoying when I tie it around her neck, though.

My dog won’t jump in. He will let me pick his front paws up place them on the seat then lift his back end in. Nothing wrong with him besides laziness. He’s about 80Lbs.

My 12 yr old Elkhound has a shoulder issue.
I don’t want her jumping anymore than she would need to. I bought a bi-fold pet ramp.
Folds in half and throw it in the bed. Made life easier for her and my back. No more lifting out of the backseat. Plenty on the inter web. Big range of prices. The one I purchased had a sandpaper texture walking surface. Gets the job done.
Do you have the link where you bought your ramp? This sounds nice.
