Mine also is somewhat inconsistent for whatever reason, been that way since day one. Pedal Commander seems to help quite a bit IMHO. She has 185,000 miles. I like to drive.

Mine does it more when it’s under load. Like a hill, pulling my trailer, or AC on.Mine is often inconsistent just off idle. Taking off from a stop it will do one of three things and I never know which:
I've also seen it where I can press the pedal very slowly while in park/neutral and the RPMs will rise, then fall slightly, then start rising again.
- Poor response and barely move, requiring more than usual pedal
- Jack rabbit start
- Hesitate. A strong initial surge forward, a pause, then accelerate.
I tried the non-scan-tool method a few times with no change. The calibration procedure in JScan makes it better (less inconsistent) for a while but it keeps coming back. I'd take it to the dealer but I feel it will be a a waste of time. It will be another case of "no problem found" . I'm waiting for it to get either worse or better or to find a solution on one of the forums.
To me it’s more like a delay in throttle output then a “oh shit he asked for some gas .5 seconds ago” and a race to execute the command which leads to a kind of surging feeling. If that makes any sense. This sounds like what I complained about quite a while ago. Like a clunk and surge at very light pedal off idle in gear. I thought it was play in the drive line ? I was told it was rock crawling mode or something like that. It keeps you moving with out touching pedal real lightly that kicks in and out ?
This worked like a charm for my 2023 Overland !! Thank You for the info !Should be the same basic procedure as the JK and JL.
1) Get in vehicle & put on seat belt
2) Press Start button twice to put it into Run (do not start engine)
3) Wait for the engine light to appear.
4) Slowly press the accelerator pedal, taking about 5-10 seconds to go all the way to the floor, then about 5-10 seconds to come all the way up.
