Can you use this with an aftermarket soundbar?
The top has two long straps that wrap under the sound bar and hook onto the small metal brackets (used for rear freedom panel clamps I think) and the cinch down to hold it tight. If you have those brackets I'm guessing it would work with an aftermarket sound bar.

So I decided to take @RealTruck up on the special pricing he was offering us on these. For the money, it can’t be beat. I already had a pretty good idea of what this would consist of and how to install it, as I purchased the Rampage version for the wife’s JLU a year prior.

I did have an issue with my order, but I must give credit where credit is due. @RealTruck and his team resolved the issue in a way that was above and beyond, and they resolved it quickly.

On to the pics:

Back undone and flipped forward with the top flipped back over it. This pretty much puts the entire top above the soundbar.

So far, wind noise is pretty much on par with every soft top I’ve ever had on one of my previous Jeeps. Quality is nice. 5 year warranty I believe.
If you’re even considering a soft top for the JT, this is the way to go. And if you do get one, get it from Realtruck. Cant beat their customer service.

Looking at this I want one of these. Wondering if they’re planning on making it in twill like the premium top

We’ll here’s something to consider….
The Mopar premium is 30 oz. twill and has 12 month warranty.
The RR Voyager is 30 oz Black Diamond and has 5 year warranty.

For me, the fabric doesn’t matter a whole lot, as I’ll run my hard top during winter and the Voyager during the warm months.

I very much prefer the look of the twill vs the black diamond. I’m also planning on a bed cover in the twill and would prefer that the top match.

Did you drive on the highway with the back folded in like that?
I buckle it when I do that, but wonder if I need to…

Yes I did. About a 6 mile round trip at 75 mph. Held just fine.
My wife has done it multiple times with the Rampage version on her JLU and has never had an issue either.

Any long term feedback? An unusually warm February has got this on my radar again.
Loved how easy it is to open, hate the noise when I get over 60-65 mph, took it off when I went on vacation because of the highway noise and was planning on being totally topless on vacation. Never put it back on, gave it to another member of our Jeep club to see if he had better luck.

I'd give it an 7 out of 10. It is very easy to flip the front open and not too much trouble to pull out the back window. I was able to pull out the back window, store it in the panel on on the back part of the top, flip the back forward, the front back and strap the whole thing over the roll bar in a few minutes for total open air freedom, as some people have shown.

I'm not a fan of how it kinda gives the Jeep a flat top look when it's closed because it doesn't have any height to it like the hard top or factory soft top. Still I'll take that over the man bun any day.

Noise is okay, but maybe not for a long trip. Still, I run soft doors all summer so not the best judge on that as they make most of the noise.

Overall, if you can't afford the expensive factory top and/or don't like the man bun, it is an okay option.

Goodluck.

So I found an OEM soft top on Facebook and switched to that. I’ll echo the same comments as above. The RR top is ok, but can be loud on long highway drives. If you can afford the OEM top, it’s better. But the RR top is ok if you want to save some money and don’t mind the noise. I still have the RR top if someone wanted it and was able to pick it up.

Took a road trip from Ohio to Tenn with it on. Around 60-70 it was fine, same noise as any soft top I’ve ever had on a Jeep.
However, around 80-85 mph, there was a very loud, deep toned wind flutter from it that made conversation with the wife in the passenger seat difficult.
We did drive thru one heck of a rain storm during that trip (during that same time that a large part of Kentucky was flooding) and it did not leak a drop. I took it off for the winter and will put it back on come spring.
Driving around town or even at posted highway speeds, I have no complaints whatsoever.
My wife has the JLU version of this on her Jeep, and has had it for a couple years now. We remove it for winter as well. It’s holding up great, has no leaks, and for whatever reason, hers doesn’t exhibit the same high speed flutter noise that mine does.
If I had to put a rating on it, I’d give it a 9 out of 10. The only knock on it is that high speed noise, but I feel the convenience of the Sunrider type front along with being able to fold it all above the soundbar make up for it.
