Anybody toying with bobbing the bed?

Is anyone considering bobbing the bed to get a better departure angle? Looks like about 8-10 inches could be cleanly removed behind the rear wheel well. I know the bed is already pretty short to start with but I like the look and the function.

Not sure I would do it. You really lose the functionality of the bed at that point. As for looks its a 50/50, looks good when you focus on the bed, but look at the whole Jeep and it is somewhat out of balance.

U think it would be a killer at trade in, but could be a winner if you went to sell on the open market.

Probably be cheaper to buy a sport trac/ridgeline and swap a Jeep front axle underneath it so it rides like garbage. Best of both worlds
