Anyone else getting a squealing every time you drive?

It's been something that has been driving me nuts for a little over a month now. I took it in for service and they said they weren't able to reproduce the sound...which is odd. Anytime it sits for over a few minutes the right side of the vehicle just squeals for a few minutes like a brake squeal. My theory is, as it warms up, it stops. I know it's a small complaint but am I the only one having the squealing?

Yes. I think this is similar to what happened to me. It ended up being my transfer case was stuck.

Here was the fix. Go somewhere you can drive slow. Put in 4 wheel low and drive around for a bit. Then switch back 2 wheel.

You can also try driving backwards about 40 ft when you switch back... This is something I was told a long time ago on my first jeep, so no idea if old wives tale or not.

My service department said there was no need for a follow up even though it had been doing that noise for about 2k miles lol

I had something similar. There was a whine coming from the passenger's side when I first picked mine up. It took me a few days to figure it out and cure the issue. Now I just leave the wife at home and enjoy the peace and quiet!

I have the same issue for a long time now - rear drivers wheel. I think it is the brake cylinder sticking. I fixed a broken spring on the inside brake pad, and I thought that fixed it, but, it came back. Try pushing the brake pedal when it is squeaking and see if it stops. If it does, it is probably brake related. I do not think mine is wheel bearings.

I have noticed that the electric steering is loud a low speed / driveway idle... not inside the truck but if you are outside. Now that the Ohio weather is warming up, maybe when the windows are down too.

the hydrolics on the brakes are audible too.
Kind of noisy at idle and maneuvering.

I thought it was brakes at first...but the noise sticks around on or off the brakes and I do notice it more when it's cold, but it's still there when the temps reach the 60s-70s range. Then after about 5 min of driving...boom gone. It's just odd.

Unfortunately, it didn't change anything. I am supposed to take the Truck in for the TSB on the steering box this week, so I am hoping that they find something.

Not the brakes according to the techs. We will see what they dig up when I take the jeep in for service.

Every once in a while, after backing up, I will get a chirp that goes away in about 100ft. My guess is it is the parking brake.
