We’re enthusiasts not sales people.
IMHO
Enthusiasts wouldn't be trying to cram stuff down someone else's throat. A sales person would.

A quick drop in and a link to your other thread would of gone a lot further in promoting your product. You derailed a thread with a simple question about another product.
You've pretty much turned me off to your stuff with the way you've handle yourself here.

Maybe I'm the only one, but maybe not.
Just something to think about if your truely an enthusiast and not a sales person.

@RudeJeepin I wasn’t trying to cram anything down anyone’s throat.

I was genuinely curious why he was seemingly against one style vs another and then gave hard facts and data based on a lot of R&D.

The goal was to help make an informed decision, which was likely not our product.

The information I provided here is possibly also useful to others in the future, which is what forums are for. None of the information I gave here is in the other thread either. So a link to it is a bit pointless.

We don’t have any of this product for about 3 months so we can’t be too pushy…

If you took what I said as anything other than trying to help inform, it’s not what was meant and I apologize.

I’m also the owner of the company and I’m excited about our product if you can’t tell.

Nah man. You highjacked this thread and your responses are condescending. If you wanted the information out there, you could make your own thread and include it, like everyone else does.

You disparage other products and everything comes off as you think anyone that isn't buying your sht is an idiot.

You mention the other company is a Bronco company that pivoted to Jeep, yet wtf is your company? A blind spot mirror manufacturer? You have no track record in Jeeps or offroad, you have no offroad products that have been tried and tested.

I have your blindspot mirrors; they're great. But that doesn't mean anything here, just like I don't expect Head & Shoulders to sell a great barbeque.

I appreciate the explanations between the two styles of steps. There is a reason why there are thousands of companies making automotive aftermarket parts. There is a flavor and design for everyone. Having some backstory to how a product was designed / tested is valuable to me.

I didn't get that impression.

Did you know the style step in the original post can damage your Jeep as shown in post #12? Good info to have in a thread like this.

I did. The thread is high jacked. I am in his product thread and asked about the style I posted above ever being offered by them. I don’t like his steps (tried to be nice conveying that) and made this thread to get info on the style I am interested in.

Also, I am sure his steps can cause damage as well.

Yikes, this went off the rails so to speak 🫣

I genuinely and sincerely never ever meant to or intended to come off that way. If I came off like a jerk whatsoever, if it seemed like I was putting anything or anyone down, that is the furthest thing from what I was trying to do and I very sincerely apologize.

First and foremost, this is a technical thread. The other post was in our vendor section, and we simply said we are working on this and it’s coming soon. Given that this is a a related post to what we are discussing in a technical thread, I gave much more technical information here. I thought I was taking a chunk of time out of my day to give the op useful and helpful insight. Given we had so much feedback that the drop-down style stamp was preferred, I was also genuinely curious why he seemed to be so adverse to it. Looks like none of this translated well.

It’s totally OK if you don’t like our product, you don’t want our product, or it’s not for you. Choice is good for everyone. If I came off in anyway, like I was trying to say someone was an idiot for not liking or wanting our product, then I will definitely work on how I communicate here. That’s the furthest thing from my intention.

There are some significant differences between our step and the other, there are also some very significant differences between the Bronco and the Jeep, especially the rail system.

We first came out with a prototype very similar to the IAG step in November 2023. When we presented it for some feedback, the overwhelming response was that a stirrup style drop down step was preferred. So in January 2024, we pivoted to that style. Since then we have done anything and everything you can do relating to clamping, bracketing, hanging or obliterating, the factory rock slider rails.

I did say that we were primarily a Jeep based company, and we are here for the Jeep community and we would appreciate your consideration. This is my only account, so beyond that I was just speaking as an enthusiast trying to provide technical information in a technical thread.

I appreciate sincerely that you have our mirror product, and you find that they are a great product. That’s a pretty small part of what we do, I actually own three corporations. Of the three, this is by far the newest and smallest company, dating back to 2017. Our original business goes back to 1979.

Every product that we make is based on custom design and engineering. We only make and sell our own custom designs. They also tend to be very unique, specialized products.

I’m not totally sure what making a great mirror product has to do with being a hard-core gear head or Jeep enthusiast? One’s a job and the other is a passion. Jeeps are a lifestyle for me and this team. We are part of our community, we wheel them hard and no one services or modifies our Jeeps but us. The types of products we decide to invest our savings in for the community has nothing to do with that. It’s about demand and what we can can engineer better than what’s available.

if anyone has a technical questions, whether it’s specifically relates to our product or not, I am happy to share, endless technical knowledge about the factory rail and attaching to them. Otherwise, hopefully we can just hit the reset button here and leave it at that.
