Yup

Took the bumper off and 4 nuts into trying to swap out the bezel I gave up and just hogged out a hole for the hook.

I did not have to remove the bumper to install the hook.

I did this using the proper bezel with the cut out. Do yourself a favor a just cut out the stock one cause that was a major pain in the ass. Hell, lifting the truck might have been easier than that. It really amazes me how we can make such a simple looking bumper so flipping complex. I couldn't believe how many parts and fasteners are on that bumper. I wanted to throw that thing in the pond behind the house. Rant over.

I felt the same way. I have never seen something so layered and intertwined. Did you have to mess with the license plate lamp assemblies? That was my about to lose my shit moment.

Yes I did. I just kept telling myself "this is just a bumper, this is just a bumper", lol. It was ridiculous, it's just a bumper, lol.

Agree. Cutting the bezel was the way to go. In fact, it should have been scored/perforated from the factory.

The hook(s) I bought came in a 2-pack. I only used 1. If anyone wants the other one, reach out and offer me something for it (shipped).
