Yes no spacer. It is weird. I think it is due to the body lines sometimes it looks level sometimes a little nose high and sometimes a little rake. I will probably put the spacer back in at some point. The clayton 2.5" triple rate rears have a 21.5" Free OAL They should give you and inch over the icons. I think that would give it a really good look with a bit more pronounced rake and wouldn't dip as much when you load the bed. If you have a heavy winch bumper though it maybe too much rake. I put the mopar lift kit sway bar links on the rear. Cheap and easy.
What limiting straps did you use and where are they attached in the rear?

Crappy pro comps from summit. Exp-5262. They are really flimsy so I don’t totally recommend but I don’t think they are really doing much. They are attached parallel to the shock just running eye bolt to eye bolt on the outside. I was going to do something custom but this was super easy and required no mods to anything. I should have inner tubed them to the shock body but i didnt they are just hanging loose. They don’t seem to catch on anything but i haven’t wheeled the truck a lot.

at 28” droop the icons started to get loose so I went with 26” straps to account for stretch.

Your rake looks like it’s coming from the rear, not the front. I would imagine having both 1.5“ coils in the front and the rear, the rear would be higher because there is less weight? I think I’d rather go with your type of setup, to avoid getting a rear track bar or any other components.

Also, my JT has 33’s, no winch. Not really trying to mod it out, just keeping it simple and clean!
I have a rubicon take off suspension with teraflex 1.5“ front spacer and 3/4 rear daystar spacer. Trying to get rid of the spacers and do coils.

Yea its hard to be perfect with the heights because of all of those factors. Lighter bed/loaded bed the springs settling. But yeah the 1.5’s should give you 2.5 all around on the sport. I think i put my settled heights in this thread somewhere.

i did the front bar and will do the clayton rear curved bar when i get a chance. I don’t really notice the rear displaced but thats because I haven’t really looked at it. Its preferable to get it centered but you arent lifting it all that much so it isn’t as noticable. Mine drives fine and the tires are so tucked they just look like they are at the fenders. I thought my truck handled terribly stock. With the mopar LCA’s and the front track bar I think made a huge difference in handling.

I really don’t think you could do it right for much cheaper than i did. Though I haven’t swapped out the front shocks yet. I used a $99 daystar I think spacer kit up front to get the longer sway bar links and shock brackets. I’ll swap the fronts to bilisteins soon and get the rear track bar and be done.

Any chance you could grab a picture some time? My rears can technically fall out if I go a little too wild (or get put up on a lift) so I've been looking for a strap solution

Sure but really there is nothing to it. Take the top shock bolt out put the bolt through the strap eye. Bolt back together. Same with the bottom. You are just using the stock shock bolts with the strap in between the bolt head and the shock mount. If you want to be fancy put a loop of bike inner tube around the shock body and strap so it doesn't hang down as much at normal ride height.

just like these pics but with a shock not coil overs.

Clayton lists their leveling kit coils as 1.5", but that is more the gain that diesel JTs are getting (There is also the possibility that the front shock selection affects overall height gain) . I installed them on my JTR and gained ~2.25". This plus the 1.5" Icons I have on the rear net me ~.75" of rake. I went with the 2-3" front Fox 2.0 and 0-1.5" rear Fox 2.0. 1" front bump stop and the Icon rear sway bar spacer. No rubbing, on my set up, with 37" Pats (Even with the front sway disconnected with quite a bit of wheeling). Icons are fairly soft, but the Clayton springs are money. Super happy with them.

Hmm, so you're saying the 1.5" clayton spring is more of a 2.25" lift in the front and the rear Icon springs left you with .75" rake over the front? So would that make that a 3" lift in the rear? Am I understanding you correctly? I'm only halfway through my Bang rn

Haha, the opposite. Also, I went out and re-measured. I believe, pre-lift, that the rake ~2 inches (rear higher than front). So, I put in the Clayton front springs, Fox 2.0s, Mopar 2" end links and Yeti Trackbar and got around 2.5" in the front before settling. I put a 0.75" spacer in the rear and was measuring ~.25" of rake (rear higher than front). So, I swapped the rears out for the Icon 1.5" and got 1.5" in the rear. Accounting for the settling in front, I now have 0.75" of rake (rear higher than front).

I have the Clayton leveling kit. I had the 2.5 ride right kit. The ride right kit rode like a log wagon and with just the leveling kit, it rides even worse. I'm also running the Falcon 3.3 shocks, which are by far the biggest waste of money anyone can spend on a vehicle. Next week the 3.3s are coming and being replaced with the OEM shocks, and eventually the leveling kit will be replaced as well.

Your pairing a pretty stiff spring with very firm shocks that don’t actually allow as much adjustment as you’d think. Either pair the Falcon shocks with a softer spring like Teraflex or throw on the stock Rubicon fox shocks as you stated, you’ll be happier with the ride.

Well I paired them at the advice or Teraflex and Clayton...along with forums, off road shops and social media conversations. Teraflex sold these shocks as the softest shocks in the universe until after I bought and installed them...then they told me they are actually stiff and refused to let me return them.

Hey Cory, sorry to hear you're having some issues with the ride, we'd love to help you out and help make this the best riding Jeep you've ever owned. Typically, the leveling kit doesn't change the ride much, as we recommend running it with factory shocks, and you're only using our front coil springs along with the appropriate components to correct geometry. The Falcon shocks do need to be put into the softest setting for more comfortability, but it's also possible you're having issues stemming from some sort of suspension bind like if the kit was not torqued down under the vehicle's own weight. Happy to work with you and help solve your problems, usually we only get feedback on how awesome customers' vehicles ride after install, and we're happy to work with you until you're satisfied!
