its crazy how much people obsess over this.
The reason why people "obsess over this" is because Michelin already charges a premium for their BFG tires, but when people buy a 37" BFG and it's closer in size to other brands' 35's than to other brands' 37's, they feel rightfully ripped off. It's worth knowing what you're getting with such a big investment.

I hope that the new KO3 is sized properly, but based on Michelin's history with their BFG brand, I'm not going to bet on it. Until I see otherwise, I'm going to recommend buying a 37" KO3 if you want a set of 35's.

And then there's the issue of their shallow tread depth, but I'll save that complaint for another thread.

If you want your speed to be correct and want your automatic transmission to shift correctly then you have to program the ECU to have actual tire diameter.
Pretty simple - two ways
1) look up the tire on the manufacturers web site and find the revs per mile and calculate the diameter
2) on a flat surface mark your tire with tape an mark the floor at a matching place. Then roll the rig until the mark on the tire reaches the floor. Make a new mark on the floor. Measure the distance between the two floor marks and divide that number by 3.1416 and the result is diameter.
Both methods give the exact same result.
Next use your aftermarket tuner gadget and reprogram your ECU.

I suggest all the ppl making these comments about the BFG's do some basic digging into other manufacturers' posted tire sizes, please do find me a list of 37's that measure 37 or larger. I'm not defending BFG's at all, I thought the KO'2 on my JLUXR were terrible tires in wet conditions. Most 37's are between 36.5 and 36.9 at best. My Cooper's have a manufacturer spec of 36.5 as an example. Under the truck as expected with proper air pressure they're closer to 35, this is normal.

Roll a BFG next to a Mickey Thompson of the same stated size, for example, and you'll see what I'm talking about.
My 38" Patagonias were taller than a set of 39" BFGs.

Fair statement if you have experienced this in person. The advertised numbers are all very very close to each other. No worries on my end for the BFGarbage's, will never be buying them.

My Willys stock sized 255/75-17 KM3s measure exactly 32" parallel to the ground at 37lbs.

Unfortunately, BF Goodrich, Goodyear have a long history of "rounding up" to the nearest inch for marketing purposes.

In my experience, General Tire and Nokian Tyre measure exactly what they are supposed to measure. Before you mount them, of course.
