Between rev hang, throttle lag, and rumors of FCA detuning 6MT vehicles due to the clutch recall, I am considering a tune. Does anyone here have any experience with a tune on a manual transmission?

I'm fortunate enough to have a late 2022 build with the GSPEC2A.

Yes that is the GPEC2 .. the GPEC5 has the connectors on the TOP Edge; not the flat side like the pictures.. To Date; I have NOT Found anyone that has/can unlock the 5. (which BTW came on my 21 Mojave)

Interesting topic. I have a 2020 with the 6MT. I’ve been very happy with the performance, though concerned about the clutch recall (that isn’t really a recall since there is no fix). I’m putting my grandson through the Mopar program at the local community technical college. When he gets to the clutch and transmission section I’ll have them put in a Center Force.

tune how? is there a computer controlled thing about the manual? I figured it'd still be old school, just clutch, gears, and oil. or is this about tuning the motor? if its the motor and the ecu is unlocked. I would call a tuner that specializes in mopar. I know 3.6 charger/challengers get done up so i can't imaging yours is any different. They can tell you if the gains are worth the cost of a tuning session. tbh, idk if it would be detuned, so much as the traction and stability controls are more invasive. maybe turn the traction control off ( i do this, but i have auto ) and see how it feels.

The engine only.

Rev hang with the manual is described here:

Drives me crazy. When I let off the gas on a manual transmission vehicle I want instant compression braking. It almost feels like a safety issue at times.

There are also complaints about throttle response for both auto and manual vehicles. Off Road+ mode gets rid of it, but I don't want to drive around in Off Road+ all the time.

By the time you buy a pedal commander to address throttle response, you are about half the cost of a tune so might as well address both issues.

I'm more concerned with drivability than power, but if a tune safely ekes out another few HP all the better.

Livernois tune here on my manual Mojave
Over 20,000 miles with the 91 tune.
I’ve run the 87 a few time, noticeably better than stock.
91-93 tune is where it’s at for me, much improved over stock! I would definitely do again.
I don’t feel I have the time for E85.
91 is easy to find on the east coast.
I don’t track my mileage.
rev hang is much better, I’d say all but eliminated.
I will say when you first start it and you don’t wait for the initial high idle (cold weather) to drop down it will stay idled up when you pull off on 1st or reverse. I believe it did that stock also..

Yea..the weird high ish idle when starting and not letting the revs drop is weird. There has been a few times I’ve been in a hurry and it’ll keep me putting along at 10-15mph in 2nd gear without any throttle on my end and you can feel the “acceleration”.
