I have started to look at the Roll-n-Lock style bed cover and curious as to what experience anyone has had with them. I have had regular soft rollup bed covers before and think I like this style more. From what I have read they seem to do a pretty good job of keep water out for the most part. How much have you all been spending on the installation if having a shop do it? I have been looking at the M series cover. Seems like prices
are starting to rise on these. Looked a couple of weeks ago and they were a couple hundred cheaper.

I've probably installed a few dozen of them in my life, though none on a JT. The product is pretty top notch, and the security is awesome. They are pretty damn water tight, and there are typically drain tubes that get installed for the water that the housing collects (you usually have to drill 2 small holes in the bed for those tubes, unless there is another spot for them to exit). I was going to go with one of these before I decided to get an A.R.E. topper. Downside is that you do lose a little bit of bed space up by the cab, but probably no more than about 10". Long story short, I'm a fan of them, and Roll n Lock is the brand to go with.

That is the only thing I can see that I don't like. Not a deal breaker though.

Absolutely hated this cover on my Silverado. The cover itself was awesome. Water tight….looked good….easy to install…..but kept coming loose and opening while I drove.

I had RnL send me multiple shim kits as well as new locks. Nothing worked. I would sit for hours and line everything up and tighten down. Drive 10 minutes and it would pop open and lock in 1st position.

Here it sits…can’t even sell it to anyone lol

I had one on a Dodge Dakota in the early 2000s. Worked great. Water tight Mostly, the gap by the tailgate let water in. I put a rubber gasket there. That helped.
