I have a factory suspension 21 Mojave. I am running Black Rhino Armory 17x9" rims with 35x12.5x17. I was having zero problems with rubbing on the street with the factory bumper. I added the ARB Bondi bumper and an apex 12000 winch and now it rubs when I back up and sometimes forward under the right conditions.

The ARB bumper actually reduced my tire clearance which I never saw coming, and the added weight in the front I'm assuming highlighted a clearance issue that I was already having but unaware of. Also as a note, I had noticed my front suspension bottoming out occasionally in good dips in country roads at about 35 mph, making me wonder if my spring have gotten soft or something.

All this two say, I need to fix this problem and don't have the cash how for a full lift, and I don't really want over 3" of lift. Will the AEV kit fix my issue or do I need springs too for the added weight and does that mean a different kit. Thanks for any education you can provide

Spring spacers will increase your ride height without changing your spring rate.
New springs can increase your ride height AND increase your spring rate. Useful for carrying more weight.
Bumpstop extensions are what actually keep larger tires from rubbing. But they are typically paired with spring spacers or longer springs and longer shocks or shock extensions. Otherwise they would reduce suspension travel on their own. The AEV 2" lift includes the required bumpstop extensions (and shock extensions).
Adding the other things, like spring spacers or longer springs, without bumpstop extensions only kicks the can down the road. The tires could and would still rub if the suspension is flexed enough.
For 35's I would think you can swap to Rubi fenders or tube fenders, that should allow 35's to clear with stock height.

Thank you for the advice. I'm looking at options. The first concern for just every day driving is the bumper run and I'm thinking I may need to pull it off and find some 1" spacers or something. Man I hate to pull it back off lol. It was a pain getting it lined up and tightened the first time!

Under what conditions does the tire rub occur? Is it when you turn? If the info I found is correct, your wheels have a -18mm offset which may contribute to the problem.

That is correct and I was just looking at the same thing. The rub is during turning and especially when backing up.

In the attached photos of the passenger side, the bolt I am touching can be adjusted out to decrease how far you can turn the wheel. I searched but couldn’t find previous posts discussing doing this. If I remember correctly you remove the bolt and place washers behind it to shim it to the length you need. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much. I didn't realize you could do that.
