Like the title asks, is it worth replacing the rubicon shocks with aftermarket 0-1.5” shocks? I keep looking at falcon 2.1s and sp2 2.1s. Outside of the head bobble when driving down rutted out roads and trails, is there any downside to the rubicon shocks? I only have a 1.5” front spacer and 3/4” rear spacer.

I don’t really want to go to 2”lift until the old man emu kit comes out, if it comes out. The icon kit and the Clayton just right seems to be a decent option but 2.5” seems like a bridge too for Me.

If you're replacing the shocks then yeah, get the right height. If you're swapping an upgraded shock for a slightly longer one, all you'll get out of it is a bit more droop and I personally don't see it worth it for an extra inch.

If you're doing OME, I'd avoid the shocks... the BP51 shocks are overpriced and the yellow shocks aren't any better than anything else on the market. Fox 2.0 or Falcon with a remote reservoir are the way to go as they are rebuildable and will save you some real money in the future.

I would be more concerned with actual compressed and extended measurements of the shocks, not what a manufacturer advertises lift height. Compare measurements to what you need. If compressed length is too long, it may bottom out and damage the shock.
