. We were doing the parallel bypass trail since the actual trail was a running river at the moment ?Looks cold and miserable LOL
You missed the trail, it’s IN the wash. Can’t say I blame you though, too wet.
I won't be ready this year with my build out. JCR still hasn't shipped my bumper or tent risers. I still haven't decided on the RTT and I have a ton of details to pin down. I'm two months out on completion. That sucks, but I'll be ready for Fall camping.Hello everyone! Tempe here. I've been on the forum for a while but just never been to this thread. Is anyone going to Overland Expo up in Flag this year?
Here's a shot of my girls. From left to right are:
- My wife's 2018 Granite Crystal JKUR
- "Mrs. Jones" my 2016 Mojave Sand JKUR, and
- "Wanda" our 2020 JTR

I have been in n the same frame of mind every year too. Then we sit and watch all the YouTube videos afterwards and wish we had gone. We decided to brave it this year because we are considering replacing our RTT and figure it will be the best way to actually look at and try out the options. We currently have a Jame Baroud Evasion and while there are lots of great tents out there, I’m not sure that any actually tick the boxes for us the way our Baroud does. Now…if Redtail Overland would actually start producing their tents, I’d be dropping coin ASAP!!!Nice fleet. Every year I think about going to the expo, but then remember how crowded it will be and I go somewhere else.
Yeah, I’m just finishing up with my v2 build out. We spent 2 weeks wandering through Idaho and Utah last October and decided we needed a remodel. Prior to the Gladiator, we had the 2016 Wrangler built out for overlanding and just transferred stuff over. But most of the stuff was built for the Wrangler and really didn’t optimize the Gladiator’s bed space. So while we were sitting in Utah’s Dixie National Forest, we planned out the remodel and literally ordered about 70% of what we needed so that it would be arriving when we got back into town. It’s been a process of install & test ever since, lol. The last planned items should be going on this next week!!! Yay!!I won't be ready this year with my build out.
I had a stint of moving to a wrangler last year. I rented a nice JL Rubicon in Hawaii and the ride quality was inferior to my Gladiator. It just felt rougher and not as comfortable. Now that mine is at a place of "done" I have been having sick ideas to move to a Wrangler
I think I just need to put together a spreadsheet of everything i've done to scare me off
Even though my wife and I are going to get an EV DD to share depending on the days she has to drive to Tucson and I have to drive to Tempe, I would still end up using the JT to drove the kids to sportsI had a stint of moving to a wrangler last year. Granted my Gladiator is modded but the trunk space was the deal breaker. Having the bed to throw golf clubs, bikes, the kids sporting equipment just makes it easy.
Badass!Just finished my dual swing away rear carrier, ordered new tires 35’s and new Clayton suspension will be ordered in the next few days and still waiting for the custom gas tank
