Havent gotten mine yet by I already have both a 80mil aluminum/butyl layer and a 150mil CCF layer under the stock carpet.

The Armorlite has a fiber bottom that shouldnt have any issue compressing where any fastening is needed. If I have any issues I'll reply to this post.

Got it installed, pretty much all the reviews hold up, product is top notch, surprisingly noticeable increase in interior sound dampening as the flooring is very quiet. Even tapping my feet against it makes very little noise, managed to lose some rattles in the process, likely from the rear wall paneling having ~1/4" gap between the carpet and plastic, which is now very much gone.

I had a welcome amount of luck removing the very thin Jeep plastic panels in 37 degree weather. I really rolled the dice but made it out without any broken plastics. I did lose the retaining nut on the front of the center console, drivers side. I'll fish it out once its warm again.

I highly recommend the product, Ive had a FJ cruiser with vinyl flooring and currently have a Grenadier with the vinyl flooring. Armorlite is significantly nicer than either of those, which I both love for the ease of cleaning and durability. I do very much recommend some thin mechanic gloves though, I dont have a finger without a cut in it right now.

Also, no issue getting it installed with the butyl/aluminum layer I already had down.

When I installed it on my Wrangler, I had installed about 25% coverage of Killmat and feel that the flooring make all the difference in sound. The Killmat might have helped with vibration. I will add a small amount strategically before I install the flooring tomorrow.

The Kilmat works to kill noise that comes from the panels vibrating themselves. I think the common misconception is that it actually interferes with noise penetration from outside. Using it does lower the noise floor since there is some constant noise from the panels vibrations, it's not like a subwoofer type of vibration, more just a humm.

Covering the floor itself is useful, the back wall is not flat and has a lot of bends so it's actually less likely to make that vibration. The doors seem like more work than their worth in my opinion, but they do vibrate as well. Any large flat surface without a bend should have some.

I did the whole basin in the front row for driver and pass. For the rear I covered just under the front seat to where it angles upward. Probably around 50% full coverage of the floor basically.

The fiber on the bottom of the armorlite coupled with the thick TPO and full side to side coverage I'm sure does the most. Air would struggle to move through it and ultimately the air needs to move to make sound. I'm only surprised that it's so damp to reflection on the top side. Once you get it in try tapping your feet, it does make noise but it's very diffuse.

10/10 would recommend.

Not the first time Ive heard that. Sucks, cause doing my Toyotas in the past was a breeze. Tundra or Tacoma I could knock out door, fully cover and fully seal it within an hour. Sealing those doors made a significant difference in the factory woofers mid-bass. No speakers in the JT doors, so while I wont do it, I wont worry about it.
