Full confession, my Jeep is ordered but I won't see it for a while, so I can't just run out to the driveway and check this out and fiddle with things.
Question I have is, has anyone found any sort of an aftermarket 12v solenoid that might work to lock the console, or glove box, or rear seat when leaving the truck parked with the doors off? Just spitballing ways to make it more convenient vs. going around and twisting the physical key in all the locks. Either modifying the factory latch, or adding a second one that's electrically operated?
I understand if someone really wants your junk they can just rip things apart, but if they want it that bad nothing's going to stop them. However you might have those looky-loos wandering by in a parking lot just give the glove box latch a lift to see what happens, and your sunglasses are gone....
