I've been looking around and seems nobody has developed a center console safe that has all 4 sides of protection. Alot of them do not have the front and back protection in the center console safe.....which seems a little useless to me. Does anyone know who makes a center console with all sides of protection?

If I'm not mistaking your question, you're essentially looking for an entire safe that will fit within the console. If that's the case, I don't think it exists. I have a Tuffy center console safe and I'm confident in it's security.

You can look into tethered lock boxes that slide & secure to beneath the drivers seat

I'm going to echo this statement, and add that the issue is if they made a safe that was all sides covered, how would you ever get it into the center console? That's why they're designed how they are, because you need to be able to build them inside the console and that limits what you can do and their ability to be installed by the end user.

The center console safes are pretty secure for a vehicle safe. If someone were going to break into one, they'd be in a position to take the whole center console away if needed anyway, regardless of how many sides are covered. You'll have to move away from the center console to get more secure.

What do you mean how would you ever get into the center console??? There's essentially 4 sides (2 sides, top and bottom) Im not understanding why they cant ad a front and rear panel to attach as well, doesnt seem like rocket science. Im going to Jeep today for something....I'll ask them if possibly the center console design has metal in the front and rear to protect it.

Any thief who knows these safes knows theres no protection front and rear, seems a little useless to me.

for me I think a locked box , other than the center console is best option for me.

As others have said above its the limitations of the center console its self. You might be able to finagle a piece of sheet metal in there to cover the front and rear. I'd do that and add some Dynamat to avoid rattles.

Otherwise there are a number of manufacturers who do fully enclosed locking metal boxes that can mount under the rear seat.
